About Fundis
It's a digital platform where a trade worker is connected with a potential employer/client with a job
The name Fundis is a collective name for the artisans in Swahili language. We chose the name to signify the cohesiveness between our mission and to whom the service is meant to benefit.
Fundis app was established in the year 2018 with the aim to resolve the need of trade workers to find available jobs in the comfort of their homes wherever they are.
Fundis app doesn’t relate directly with the employers. It only facilitates the vetting of competent, skilled, and experienced artisans, and refine them through a thorough upskilling for a better experience of the clients/employers for the job done.
To successfully match the vocational and technical skilled trades artisans to sustainable and dependable jobs in Kenya, Africa , and globally.
Account Set Up
A Trade worker is required to have a smartphone, download the FUNDIS APP from the Playstore or App Store, install the App, and provide the username (either a phone number or an active Email) and a password unique to them for sign up. The username and password is used every time a tradeworker wants access to the app.
After an account is created, an artisan is required to fill the profile information on the dashboard.
In case an artisan forgets the password to unlock their account, the password is reset by tabbing the directive “Forgot password” and an OTP code will be generated to the phone number or Email address, whichever was used for the username. The code is used to unlock the account by setting a new password.
